Optimize plywood flow and storage

Temared Sp. z o.o. is one of Europe’s largest manufacturers of car trailers, based in Swidnik. It specializes in designing and manufacturing a wide range of trailers. Temared currently offers more than 300 trailer models with configurable and selectable functional options, which are available in 57 countries on 6 continents. In its production, it uses sheets of plywood, which generates many operational problems due to its dimensions and properties.

• Long waiting time for plywood.
• Damage to the material caused during forklift transport.
• Impeded communication between the plotter and forklift operators.

TwinTower® automatic storage system for storage and transport of plywood, enabling storage of more than 26 tons of raw material in packages with maximum dimensions of 3000×1500 mm and height of 650 mm.
The storage system is equipped with 13 movable shelves, each with a load capacity of 2,000 kg. The transport of the material off the storage system is provided by a mobile automatic station, moving on a track more than 13 m long. One of the station’s stops is next to the KIMLA milling plotter, and the other is at the loading point for whole plywood packages.
Individual boards arrive at the plotter’s work table by means of a crane with a vacuum handle, operated by an operator.
