Start of the biggest project in BAUMALOG’s history – Part 2 Storage
We have started the implementation of the first project with the use of the storage system of BridgeTower for the Metaltech-Piasecki company from Ciechanów.
The project consists of:
- automatic profile warehouse with a capacity of 1365 tons (455 shelves with a load capacity of 3 tons each),
- automatic profile transport system inside the hall,
- IT integration of ERP, APS-Advance Planning and Scheduling systems, with our WMS system, allowing for effective and efficient planning and scheduling.
The aim of the project is:
- flexibility of the production process allowing for the implementation of High-Mix Low-Volume orders,
- increasing the efficiency of profile processing machines (saws, bending machines, pipe cutters),
- reduction of the number of people required to transport materials inside the hall,
- Elimination of forklifts from the profile transport process.
The project of Metaltech-Piasecki is an excellent example of digitization and automation of the profile processing process, which is fully in line with the idea of the 4th industrial revolution. Thanks to the integration of many machines and IT systems, it will be possible to respond immediately to market needs, transport the right materials at a specific time and with delivery to the appropriate processing machine, which will result in multiplication of production.
