Features
The production plant located in Nowa Sól, along with an increase in production, needed a larger storage for steel bars used in the production of shafts, among other things. For this reason, the decision was made to upgrade the existing TwinTower automated storage to a TransferTower version.
The implementation of an automated storage TransferTower, allowed for the doubling of the storage area. The use of a transfer station allows the transport of shelves between the storage, the station moves at the bottom of the storages and the shelves are delivered to it by means of lifts moving between the storage columns. The connection between the automated shelving units and the transfer station provides access to the entire assortment stored inside the system. The shelving units are arranged in series with respect to the longer side of the shelf.
The storage system is equipped with software featuring an operator panel with a colour touch screen. The software provides full control over stock levels, material flow using an extensive database, granting access rights to operators and full diagnostics of drive systems and automation.
