Mikrostyk company is a leading manufacturer of metal components for the consumer electronics, automotive, lighting, home appliance manufacturers, electrotechnical industry, storage systems and battery production. The company produces metal components by stamping and punching from steel, aluminium, bronze and brass.
Features
Due to limited storage space and the company’s constant growth, Mikrostyk decided to implement the TwinTower automated storage system for tools. The use of the vertical area of the hall volume is cost-effective compared to the expansion of horizontal storage areas. The system has 23 shelves with a load capacity of 4500 kg, measures 8900 mm and takes full advantage of the height of the building. The automated storage system consists of two columns and a extractor, which moves the shelves and transfers them to a loading-unloading station. The implementation has resulted in significant savings in storage space, improved workflow and easier identification and access to stored tools. The storage placed close to the production machines ensures easy and quick access to the tools, which significantly improves the production process.
