Expansion of the sheet metal storage system

Kvader MT d.o.o. is a company continuing the family tradition of sheet metal production since 1978. The company specializes in small and medium series production of sheet metal products and semi-finished products made of mild steel, stainless steel and other non-ferrous metals. Kvader also offers laser cutting, punching and bending services on the most modern machines.
Features
In 2017, we implemented the TwinTower automated storage system at Kvader for storing sheet metal with a dimension of 3000 x 1500 mm. In 2021, the decision was made to upgrade the system to TransferTower. The system was extended by a storage with 76 shelves, load capacity 3000 kg each, for two dimensions of metal sheets 3000 x 1500 mm and 2000 x 1000 mm. The height of the system is 9500 mm, which allows to fully use the storage space. The TransferTower automated storage system has a transfer station to transport shelves between two storages and a crane to retrieve single sheets. The transfer station moves at the bottom of both storages, and shelves are delivered to it by two elevators moving in each storage. The connection of both storages by a transfer station provides access to the entire range of metal sheets stored inside, using a single loading-unloading station.
The doubling of capacity, access to a wide range of sheets and Baumalog’s inventory management software will translate into increased competitiveness and further growth for the company.
